Legal document · Blackstart
Blackstart ("the game") is developed by Filipe Tessaro. The game does not collect data about you. There is no account, login, ads, analytics or third-party SDK gathering information.
Everything the game stores stays on your computer and is not sent to us.
Campaign progress, best grades and day records, the daily challenge record, completed lessons and preferences (music and effects volume, sound on or off, and language).
On Windows, this data lives in a single file, %APPDATA%\Blackstart\progresso.json, created by the game itself. On Android, it stays in the app’s internal storage.
Name, email, phone, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, files on your computer or any other personal information.
The daily challenge is generated from the date on your own computer: nothing is downloaded or sent. The game makes no server connections while you play; the only exception is opening these pages in your browser when you click the links in Settings.
In the version distributed through Steam, the purchase, achievements and cloud saves (if enabled) go through Steam, from Valve Corporation, and follow Valve’s privacy policy. We do not receive your payment data or your Steam account data.
The game has no violence: it is about connecting power plants to cities. Since nothing is collected, there is no children’s data to protect.
In the game’s Settings, use "erase progress and records", or uninstall the game. If you use Steam cloud saves, turn them off in the game’s properties on Steam first.
Since nothing is sent to us, there is nothing to request deletion of anywhere else, which is why the game has no account deletion page.
If any feature that sends data is added (an online leaderboard for the daily challenge, for example), this page is updated before that version ships, saying exactly what starts being sent.
The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
