This policy explains what data the Coin Value Snap app collects, how it is used and who it is shared with.

1. Data we collect

• Account: email and password, used to create and access your account.
• Coin photos: images you take of your coins for identification, saved to your collection.
• Collection data: name, country, year, estimated value range, rarity and notes for each coin you add.
• Profile / gamification data: nickname, level, experience points (XP) and badges.
• App usage: number of scans performed per day, used only to enforce the free plan limit.
• Subscription data: if you subscribe to Premium, the subscription status (active/inactive) is stored to unlock the matching features. We have no access to your credit card details — payments are processed entirely by Google Play.

2. How we use your data

• Identify photographed coins using an artificial intelligence service.
• Keep your collection, profile and progress saved across sessions and devices.
• Enforce the free plan limits and unlock Premium features.
• Calculate your position on the community leaderboard (based on your level/XP — we never share your email or photos with other users).

3. Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services to run the app. Each one processes only the data strictly needed for its function:

• Supabase (database, authentication and photo storage) — hosts your account, collection and photos.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — receives the coin photo at scan time in order to identify it. The photo is processed to generate the answer and is not used by us for any other purpose.
• RevenueCat — manages the Premium subscription status.
• Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments; we have no access to your card details.

We do not sell your data. We do not show third-party ads in the app.

4. Data retention and deletion

Your data is stored for as long as your account exists. You can delete coins individually at any time inside the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.

5. Security

Your photos and collection data are protected by access rules ensuring that only you (once authenticated) can read or modify your own data.

6. Children

Coin Value Snap is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date of the last update always appears at the top of this page.
